Hélio Koehler might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathias da Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélio Koehler ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, Jaquipe SS's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Sabóia came free, but Mathias da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Flávio Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute Agostinho Nogueira suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 25 minutes into the game, Hélio Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jaquipe SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tuina SC the free kick. A collision led to Jaquipe SS getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Hélio Neiva hit a great ball. Mathias da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 minutes, Frédson Rosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaquipe SS and the Tuina SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Jaquipe SS got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Rosa. Mathias da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Tuina SC's Cacá Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Tuina SC from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes into the match, Jaquipe SS's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Koehler came free, but Mathias da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Jaquipe SS booed when Tuina SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizinho Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball.

After a rather tough play, Jaquipe SS's Fiori Paes got a free kick in the 56th minute. Hélio Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frédson Rosa was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Frédson Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Jaquipe SS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Flávio Sabóia 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Hélio Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Hélio Koehler sped through Jaquipe SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mathias da Costa. When Mateus Mello came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Tuina SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateus Mello couldn't finish the play. If Hélio Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Jaquipe SS's Renan Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cacá Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Renan Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Alves having to interfere. Renan Rocha struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Cacá Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaquipe SS. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tuina SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
