Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Válbson Cruz got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Atlético Mineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Amorim came free, but Richard Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Válbson Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Mineiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Válbson Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias da Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Válbson Cruz in the 11th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Válbson Cruz in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mathias da Costa saved Jaquipe SS from getting behind. Renan Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renan Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. After 23 played minutes Jaquipe SS got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Almeida. After 24 played minutes Válbson Cruz shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Jaquipe SS's Mathias da Costa to catch but Válbson Cruz was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Charles Vargas in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mathias da Costa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Amorim in the 35th minute of play forced Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Richard Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Amorim made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Benê Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th match minute, Jaquipe SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Neiva to maneuver through the defense. When Jonathan Tande fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Mineiro's protests and gave Jonathan Tande a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Tande hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Atlético Mineiro's Richard Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Mineiro from getting a goal against them. Benê Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Geovanni Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Renan Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Sousa. Atlético Mineiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renan Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Hélio Neiva's late challenge caught a Atlético Mineiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélio Neiva helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jaquipe SS getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Hélio Neiva hit a great ball. After 75 minutes, Válbson Cruz made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Jaquipe SS's Mathias da Costa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Válbson Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 83rd minute Diego Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute of the match Gilmar Mello sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Richard Sousa skillfully saved the ball. Mathias da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Atlético Mineiro booed when Jaquipe SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Renan Rocha notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Atlético Mineiro's Richard Sousa. Richard Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Diego Amorim took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Richard Sousa to make any attempt to save it. Despite being the better team, Atlético Mineiro failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
