Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Valdo Nunes kicked off to start the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Siupe SS's zone, Valdo Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Paraíba came out of the goal and Valdo Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Siupe SS booed when Itaperuna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simão Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mário Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ismael Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Álvaro Vander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomé Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Simão Ferraz sent off a good shot on target. Edgard Paraíba came out of the goal and Antônio Carlos Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Siupe SS's Ismael Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

With an all-out effort, Itaperuna FC's Edgard Paraíba threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valdo Nunes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Itaperuna FC's Tomé Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Soares in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Itaperuna FC got a freekick which was hit by Hernani Ortiz. After a rather tough play, Itaperuna FC's Betão Messias got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 78th minute of the match Álvaro Vander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomé Vasconcelos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 81st minute Valdo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Simão Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Simão Ferraz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomé Vasconcelos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
