Wágner Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Percival Quintal went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Tadeu Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reginaldo Ferreira hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25thth minute of the game Tadeu Linhares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haizen Soccer's Wágner Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Reginaldo Ferreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Vítor Garcia. Maruim FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reginaldo Ferreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Arlindo de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Garcia having to interfere. With a little luck, Maruim FC's José Vítor Garcia got control of the ball when Arlindo de Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristiano Machado during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes Haizen Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Machado. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reginaldo Ferreira made a kick off. Arlindo de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Erivaldo Pernambucano came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wágner Barros could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Maruim FC's zone, Arlindo de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Garcia came out of the goal and Arlindo de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reginaldo Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. José Vítor Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haizen Soccer. Percival Quintal hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Maruim FC's Cafu Brasil got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 69 played minutes Haizen Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Nogueira. In the 74th minute, Erivaldo Pernambucano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wágner Barros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 77 minutes, Adriano Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haizen Soccer and the Maruim FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Haizen Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Nogueira. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Percival Quintal during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Maruim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Quintal to maneuver through the defense. Wágner Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erivaldo Pernambucano in the 91st minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Maruim FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
