After a defensive mix-up in Umuarama EC's zone, Reginaldo Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The crowd rose to their feet as Umuarama EC's Rodrigo Antunes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wágner Barros. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. 20 minutes into the game, Wilton Vander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Umuarama EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haizen Soccer the free kick. After 23 played minutes Haizen Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Machado. In the 23rd minute of the match Wilton Vander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wágner Barros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Haizen Soccer's goalkeeper Wágner Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiaguinho da Silva. Adriano Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Wágner Barros made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Márcio Sanches sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Reginaldo Ferreira made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Reginaldo Ferreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Murilo Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Wágner Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Sanches in the 61st minute of the match. Umuarama EC's Murilo Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo de Souza in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Haizen Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Sanches came free, but Wágner Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Arlindo de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
