Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Zé Carlos Montenegro made the kick off and thus started the match. If Zé Carlos Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgílio Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Orlando Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamílton Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Dorival Passos made a huge save. In the 8th minute, Celsinho Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute of the match, Hamílton Zanette got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dorival Passos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cavalos's Dorival Passos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Cavalos from getting a goal against them. Dorival Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luiz Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hamílton Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dorival Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Carlos Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Montenegro in the 26th minute of play. Orlando Reis came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Cavalos's Zé Carlos Montenegro. But to his dismay, Zé Carlos Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dorival Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Paraíba in the 33rd minute of play. Celsinho Sanches hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute André Luiz Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorival Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zé Carlos Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Luiz Paraíba to strike the kick off in the second half. A nice corner shot did that Andrézinho Cabral got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dorival Passos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 57th minute, Hamílton Zanette ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dorival Passos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Virgílio Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Orlando Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorival Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Luiz Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. When Virgílio Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Cavalos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Madureira couldn't finish the play. Orlando Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Montenegro in the 95th minute of play. Jaupaci EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
