Vítor Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enio Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Evaristo Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Aguiar having to interfere. Celso Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evaristo Aguiar having to make a save. After some careless play in the Armador defense, Vítor Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evaristo Aguiar. The Armador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evaristo Aguiar should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute Enio Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Albertina's Vítor Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evaristo Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celso Almeida's late challenge caught a Armador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Armador booed when Albertina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romeu Dracena to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Enio Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albertina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enio Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enio Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Evaristo Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albertina. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vítor Barros in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evaristo Aguiar saved Armador from getting behind. Cristian Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Váldson Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Dracena in the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Albertina's Mané Tepedino got a free kick in the 80th minute. Evaristo Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Enio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 87th minute of the match Vítor Barros completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vítor Barros a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Vítor Barros hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Armador's Jardel Antunes suffered a sprained foot after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Celso Almeida was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Armador booed when Albertina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Albertina were the better team. Albertina's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
