But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Washington Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. Danilo Amaral went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Washington Bittencourt drilling the ball in to score 2-0 behind Varjao's goalkeeper. Davi Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Washington Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Varjao's Chiquinho Neiva got a free kick in the 37th minute. Jeferson Freitas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Davi Faria skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Jeferson Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Davi Faria was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. If Washington Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. Jeferson Freitas might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Davi Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeferson Freitas ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Jeferson Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bagagem's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeferson Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davi Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Varjao's Davi Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Bittencourt in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Pedro Augusto Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davi Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Washington Bittencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Davi Faria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Varjao's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Bittencourt came free, but Davi Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
