Adhemar Santana took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Davi Faria. Varjao's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tarcisio Soeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Davi Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Varjao's Davi Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuri Catarinense in the 26th minute of play. Pedro Augusto Dantas struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Wágner Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varjao. 46 minutes into the match, Cascadura's goalkeeper Wágner Brodel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chiquinho Neiva.

Pedro Augusto Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Brodel having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Varjao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Yuri Catarinense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Davi Faria having to make a save. Varjao's Davi Faria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Varjao from getting a goal against them. The Cascadura fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Cascadura's Yuri Catarinense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chiquinho Neiva struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Wágner Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varjao. Varjao's Silvério Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute Tarcisio Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 93 in the game by Yuri Catarinense from a close distance when the talented Davi Faria managed to make a qualified save. Varjao's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Pedro Augusto Dantas put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Wágner Brodel.
