An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Faustino in the 3rd minute of play forced Penguins and Polarbears's goalkeeper Ahmet Kadri Gazzali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdir Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ahmet Kadri Gazzali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Itapara's Ahmet Kadri Gazzali threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vânderson Faustino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 12th minute, Donatello Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdir Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Kadri Gazzali having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Vânderson Faustino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ahmet Kadri Gazzali. Vânderson Faustino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Yuri Queiroz's late challenge caught a Itapara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yuri Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Penguins and Polarbears was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Valdir Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Ahmet Kadri Gazzali didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itapara. Valdir Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Penguins and Polarbears's Ahmet Kadri Gazzali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Faustino in the 31st minute of play. Vânderson Faustino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Kadri Gazzali having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Valdir Cavalcante could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Ahmet Kadri Gazzali however easily saved by the left post. Vânderson Faustino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donatello Passos to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aníbal Alvarenga during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Donatello Passos came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Penguins and Polarbears fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donatello Passos couldn't finish the play. After 86 minutes, Kléber Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penguins and Polarbears and the Itapara players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 minutes of play, Itapara's Valdir Cavalcante made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmet Kadri Gazzali was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vânderson Faustino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
