The referee ignored Seival SC's protests and gave Pedro Paulo Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Pedro Paulo Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olívio Gomes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Raúl Matorin. Paranatama EC's Edgard Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Macedo in the 21st minute of play. Willian Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Olívio Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Willian Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Willian Gaspar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olívio Gomes. Seival SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Willian Gaspar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Pedro Paulo Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of Edgard Silva. Paranatama EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. João Paulo da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Paranatama EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim de Castro to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute Felippe Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute João Paulo Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seival SC's Alan Bittencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when João Paulo Macedo made the kick off in the second half. Marco Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 69th minute Willian Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Paulo Macedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgard Silva came out and tried to block the shot, but João Paulo Macedo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Paranatama EC's Agnaldo de Mendonça got a free kick in the 76th minute. Paranatama EC's Edgard Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Macedo in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Felippe Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Seival SC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Pedro Paulo Fonseca hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes Seival SC got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Macedo. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Felippe Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paranatama EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Felippe Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Felippe Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olívio Gomes was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
