Afonso Cerezo charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso Cerezo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Maruanum got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Cerezo. Madalena Esporte Clube's Caio Sergipano came free and shot a quick shot against goal 20 minutes in the game, fortunately Nicolas Penha had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Maruanum's Nicolas Penha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Maruanum from getting a goal against them. When Téo Marquez fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maruanum's protests and gave Téo Marquez a yellow card for diving instead. Téo Marquez hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Caio Sergipano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicolas Penha. That made the score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Madalena Esporte Clube's Belmiro Mesquita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicolas Penha. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. Jonathan Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Belmiro Mesquita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nicolas Penha came out and tried to block the shot, but Belmiro Mesquita slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Cauan da Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aílton Schmidt was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmiro Mesquita to make the kick off. Belmiro Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robinho Ortiz charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Aílton Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauan da Rocha in the 63rd minute of the match. After having played for 65 minutes, Délio Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Madalena Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Délio Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Madalena Esporte Clube's Délio Cruz in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nicolas Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caio Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Penha having to interfere. Robinho Ortiz got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Robinho Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Gildo Mineiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicolas Penha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Madalena Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Aílton Schmidt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Gonçalves.
