The referee showed Cido Peixoto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cido Peixoto hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Nicolas Penha came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Quieto's Manoel Nunes. But to his dismay, Manoel Nunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 11th minute José Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Penha came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Quieto's Manoel Nunes. But to his dismay, Manoel Nunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of Quieto booed when Maruanum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomás de Mendonça hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Quieto's zone, José Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldinho Cardoso came out of the goal and José Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicolas Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Lima in the 31st minute of play. José Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Cardoso having to interfere. Cido Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Penha was a little too slow when Cido Peixoto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

52 minutes into the match, Cauan da Rocha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ronaldinho Cardoso, 3-1. After 94 minutes, Manoel Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quieto and the Maruanum players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Quieto fans cheered their team off the field, for while Maruanum had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
