Didi Falcão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Pedro Travassos in the 8th minute. Murilo Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Didi Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Didi Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Mota in the 13th minute of play. Didi Falcão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Pedro Travassos in the 14th minute. In the 16th match minute, Borussia de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Murilo Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Borussia de Madrid's goalkeeper Didi Falcão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Pedro Travassos. Jonathan Simões hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Pierre Jobling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mauro Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Gilvan Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Raí Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vieiras AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Raí Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Didi Falcão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st match minute, Borussia de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes Vieiras AD got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Donato. 57 minutes into the game, Borussia de Madrid's Pierre Jobling nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oséias Palmeira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Borussia de Madrid's Gilvan Ortiz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jonathan Simões in the 60 minute of the game. If Mauro Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Didi Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Mota in the 66th minute of the match. Oséias Palmeira made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Mauro Goiano sent off a good shot on target. Mauro Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Oséias Palmeira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 73 minutes into the game, Jonathan Simões threw the ball into play from the sideline. Borussia de Madrid's Gilvan Ortiz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Oséias Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Jobling, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Borussia de Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Travassos came free, but Didi Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Vieiras AD getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ciro Donato hit a great ball. Mauro Goiano scored 2-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oséias Palmeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Borussia de Madrid's Didi Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Coutinho in the 84th minute of play. If Pierre Jobling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the game, Vieiras AD's Zé Pedro Travassos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Didi Falcão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vieiras AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Borussia de Madrid had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
