Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sidnei Freire kicked off to start the match. Charles Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Amaral in the 4th minute of the match. Zatoni's Ian da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Netto in the 7th minute of play. Carmelopolis AD's Haroldo Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Zatoni's Sidnei Freire sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles Pontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sidnei Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Haroldo Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian da Costa having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Tadeu Recife got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simão Couto's late challenge caught a Zatoni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Couto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Simão Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Zatoni's Serafim Mello tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Amaral in the 31st minute of play forced Carmelopolis AD's goalkeeper Charles Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sidnei Freire took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Pontes. Charles Pontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Romeu Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles Pontes was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. 43 minutes into the match, Carmelopolis AD's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Freire came free, but Charles Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeu Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charles Pontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeu Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. Ian da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeu Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Netto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Carmelopolis AD booed when Zatoni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Carmelopolis AD getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gilson Pereira hit a great ball. When Haroldo Netto came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Carmelopolis AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Netto couldn't finish the play. Maurício de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Zatoni's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Recife came free, but Ian da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Simão Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidnei Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. If Sidnei Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Charles Pontes made a huge save. The ball had pretty good speed, but Charles Pontes firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Carmelopolis AD's Charles Pontes got control of the ball when Romeu Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Zatoni players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
