Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ezequiel Vieira started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Quaitiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Ezequiel Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arí Mazza having to interfere. Décio Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the game, Jean Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cairara EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quaitiba the free kick. A collision led to Cairara EC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jean Magalhães hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Diamantino de Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Matorin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Anselmo Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. André Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cairara EC booed when Quaitiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arí Mazza acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 22nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fabiano de Azevedo. Anselmo Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Matorin having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Jano Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Matorin came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Quaitiba's Anselmo Rosa. But to his dismay, Anselmo Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Anselmo Rosa struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. André Matorin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quaitiba. Cacá Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diamantino de Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Nestor Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quaitiba and the Cairara EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd minute, one of Quaitiba:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Quaitiba. Arí Mazza had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Fabiano de Azevedo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Anselmo Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Matorin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Rosa in the 59th minute. If Anselmo Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diamantino de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quaitiba's Diamantino de Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Quaitiba's Ramiro Abreu got a free kick in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Quaitiba's zone, Fabiano de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arí Mazza came out of the goal and Fabiano de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes in the game, Diamantino de Castro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without André Matorin having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Anselmo Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Décio Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Arí Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quaitiba's Nestor Palmeira got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Nestor Palmeira off the ground. Ezequiel Vieira took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arí Mazza. Arí Mazza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Despite being the better team, Quaitiba failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
