The audience thought a goal was coming when Dagoberto Rodrigues got free with Isaltino de Queirós in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute Adriano Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dagoberto Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A nice corner shot did that Luís Guilherme Sá got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Isaltino de Queirós quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dagoberto Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th match minute, Tauape SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Dagoberto Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Isaltino de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Guilherme Sá who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Isaltino de Queirós when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dagoberto Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaltino de Queirós having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Luís Guilherme Sá took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Isaltino de Queirós to make any attempt to save it. In the 28th minute, Adriano Antunes made a precise shot to the right of Albertino Valle. HEMPADOS F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Guilherme Sá in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaltino de Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dagoberto Rodrigues might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaltino de Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dagoberto Rodrigues ran back to his position shaking his head. Dagoberto Rodrigues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Isaltino de Queirós made a huge save. If Dagoberto Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Tauape SS's goalkeeper Isaltino de Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dagoberto Rodrigues. Luís Guilherme Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dagoberto Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Isaltino de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adriano Antunes made a kick off. A collision led to Tauape SS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sabino Alagoano hit a great ball. Luís Guilherme Sá struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Isaltino de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HEMPADOS F.C.. The audience was convinced that Dagoberto Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaltino de Queirós was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Dagoberto Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see HEMPADOS F.C. lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
