The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel de Almeida during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jardel Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Alexandre Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Tróia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jardel Brito's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Egídio de Toledo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Trahiry's Alexandre Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Brito in the 32nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Quaresma got free with Alexandre Tróia in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Trahiry booed when Taciua SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute of the match Aluísio Bittencourt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Álvaro Moreira skillfully saved the ball. When Marcos Quaresma fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taciua SC's protests and gave Marcos Quaresma a yellow card for diving instead. Tony Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Moreira having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jardel Brito was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Geraldo Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trahiry's supporters rose to their feet, but Geraldo Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geraldo Freitas took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Álvaro Moreira. Álvaro Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Geraldo Freitass short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Álvaro Moreira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dinei Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Alexandre Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raúl Bertassi was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Taciua SC booed when Trahiry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jardel Brito scored 2-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Tróia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Taciua SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
