Mucuras's Cafu Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Mucuras from getting a goal against them. After having played for 4 minutes, Betão Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escuta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Mucuras's goalkeeper Cafu Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Betão Eger. The supporters of Escuta booed when Mucuras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cafu Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ronaldão Netto sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Netto lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Cafu Gaspar. Robinho Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiko Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tiago Arce came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Mucuras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Arce couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes, Ronaldão Netto made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Mucuras's Cafu Gaspar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Escuta getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Wilson Arósio hit a great ball. If Ronaldão Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Betão Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Cafu Gaspar made a huge save. Betão Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Mucuras's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldão Netto came free, but Cafu Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Ronaldão Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betão Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Cafu Gaspar made a huge save. If Ronaldão Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldão Netto to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Netto in the 55th minute of play forced Mucuras's goalkeeper Cafu Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Escuta got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Arósio. Tiago Arce's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Robinho Cruz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 69 minutes into the match, Mucuras's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Eger came free, but Cafu Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Ronaldão Netto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mucuras's Cafu Gaspar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cafu Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Eger in the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mucuras's zone, Ronaldão Netto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu Gaspar came out of the goal and Ronaldão Netto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th match minute, Escuta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Arósio to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Escuta's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Paulista came free, but Robinho Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Ronaldão Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escuta's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldão Netto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Mucuras booed when Escuta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ronaldão Netto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cafu Gaspar was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldão Netto in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cafu Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Mucuras's Richard Bertassi got a free kick in the 87th minute. The supporters of Escuta booed when Mucuras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes Mucuras got a freekick which was hit by Jardel Ortiz.
