Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edgar Vergílio took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ronaldão Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Borges in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8thth minute of the game Ian Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tupiniquins SC's Ronaldão Cavalcante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Caieira AD's Ian Borges slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ronaldão Cavalcante. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. Ian Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ronaldão Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustão Moura's late challenge caught a Caieira AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustão Moura helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Caieira AD booed when Tupiniquins SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Tupiniquins SC's Ronaldão Cavalcante got control of the ball when Zé Pedro Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zé Pedro Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Zé Pedro Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caieira AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldão Cavalcante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Elias Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute of the match, Zé Pedro Seco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ronaldão Cavalcante was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Zé Pedro Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, Edgar Vergílio notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Caieira AD's Luís Guilherme Godoi. Luís Guilherme Godoi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Pedro Seco was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Vergílio in the 55th minute of play forced Caieira AD's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tupiniquins SC's goalkeeper Ronaldão Cavalcante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Zé Pedro Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronaldão Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Pedro Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldão Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Pedro Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 72nd minute, Zé Pedro Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldão Cavalcante was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Luís Guilherme Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Zé Pedro Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes Tupiniquins SC got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Penha. After having played for 83 minutes, Zé Pedro Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caieira AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Pedro Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovani Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tupiniquins SC's Fabrício Proença got a free kick in the 86th minute. Ronaldão Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Seco in the 89th minute of play. When Zé Pedro Seco came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Caieira AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Seco couldn't finish the play. Ian Borges blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronaldão Cavalcante having to make a save. Zé Pedro Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Cavalcante having to interfere.
