With his leg Zé Paulo de Carvalho managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Fausto's Manolo Loyola fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Manolo Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Zé Paulo de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Paulo de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Luz in the 10th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dino Luz in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Paulo de Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beto Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Antunes in the 16th minute of play forced Fausto's goalkeeper Cristóvão Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Beto Leite came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Fausto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beto Leite couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manolo Loyola got free with Zé Paulo de Carvalho in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the game, Abacate FC's Raimundo Antunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristóvão Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Manolo Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo de Carvalho having to interfere. Pedro Paulo de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Dino Luz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Paulo de Carvalho having to make a save. Raimundo Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Antunes in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristóvão Castro saved Fausto from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dino Luz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Abacate FC got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Faria. After a defensive mix-up in Abacate FC's zone, Beto Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo de Carvalho came out of the goal and Beto Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 58 played minutes Fausto got a freekick which was hit by Sabino da Silveira. In the 62nd minute Raimundo Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Paulo de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Loyola in the 63rd minute of play. Dino Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo de Carvalho having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Manolo Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fausto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manolo Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abacate FC's Zé Paulo de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolo Loyola in the 70th minute of play. Zé Paulo de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 played minutes Abacate FC got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Amorim. Zé Paulo de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Loyola in the 74th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th match minute, Abacate FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro Batista to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Abacate FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Henrique Corrêa hit a great ball. Abacate FC's Zé Paulo de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Luz in the 95th minute of play. A collision led to Fausto getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Pedro Paulo de Toledo hit a great ball. Although Fausto had been in control for most of the match, Abacate FC still came away with the win.
