Costao SS's Válbson França got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute Ciro Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Franklin Brasil put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Remo Pinheiro. Paulo Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Remo Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute of the match, Ciro Sousa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Remo Pinheiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 38th minute, Lambari F.C.'s Ciro Sousa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Remo Pinheiro. Remo Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ciro Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remo Pinheiro was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Remo Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Brasil in the 53rd minute of play. The Costao SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remo Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. Mazinho Netto fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 69th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. In the 70th minute, Elias Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes, Lambari F.C.'s Ulysses Arruda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remo Pinheiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lambari F.C. reached it. Ciro Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Pinheiro having to interfere. Remo Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Brasil in the 77th minute of the match. Ciro Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Remo Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
