After 11 minutes, Luiz Fábio Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tobiaras SS and the Trahiry AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valdir Pombal struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Silas Paraibano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tobiaras SS. Elder Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Silas Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio de Barros in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Tobiaras SS booed when Trahiry AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizinho Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aníbal dos Santos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silas Paraibano. Trahiry AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Basílio de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Silas Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Eliseu Ferreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
