If Cristian Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Fábio Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xerebebeu F.C's Fábio Coutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Xerebebeu F.C from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wiliam Lira in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júnior Motta saved Toriba SS from getting behind. After 29 minutes, Douglas Proença mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toriba SS and the Xerebebeu F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 played minutes Toriba SS got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Proença. Wiliam Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Motta having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Proença in the 40th minute of play forced Xerebebeu F.C's goalkeeper Fábio Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júnior Motta came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Xerebebeu F.C's Jacinto Chaves. But to his dismay, Jacinto Chaves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half Xerebebeu F.C were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Proença was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Douglas Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Coutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Paulo Romero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fábio Coutinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Wiliam Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Júnior Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 67th match minute, Toriba SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldão Santana to maneuver through the defense. Jacinto Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Motta having to interfere. If Wiliam Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wiliam Lira in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júnior Motta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wiliam Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Júnior Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júnior Motta made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Jacinto Chaves sent off a good shot on target.
