Durval da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Décio Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Xabat Rodrigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juarês Valadares in the 35th minute of play forced Dourada's goalkeeper Durval da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Juarês Valadares took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durval da Cunha. Durval da Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Arnaldo Damião's late challenge caught a Paraizo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Damião helped the player get up and apologised. 45 minutes into the game, one of Dourada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Paraizo a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Régis Ortiz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dourada's Durval da Cunha. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juarês Valadares to strike the kick off in the second half. Durval da Cunha was a little too slow when Juarês Valadares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-3. Albertino Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Dudu Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juarês Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Durval da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Dourada's Victor Peixoto got a free kick in the 68th minute. Paulo Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Juarês Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraizo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juarês Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Paraizo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dourada throughout the match.
