Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luiz Eduardo Paraíba started the match with the kick off. Carlos Augusto Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristiano Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Paiva in the 6th minute of play. Cristiano Aguiar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Augusto Antunes's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Carlos Augusto Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tomé Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erivaldo Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Toca do Indio's Cristiano Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Simões in the 17th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cristiano Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Toca do Indio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomé Simões in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Aguiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes into the game, one of Cararbas AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Toca do Indio a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alessandro de Medeiros, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cararbas AD's Magno Oliveira. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st match minute, Toca do Indio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Kiko de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Oliveira having to interfere. With a little luck, Toca do Indio's Cristiano Aguiar got control of the ball when Carlos Augusto Antunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Magno Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Kiko de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Magno Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Tomé Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Toca do Indio players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
