But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrão Matorin couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute, Rômulo Moura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathias Valle was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Mathias Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rômulo Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Adelino de Castro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 11th minute Luiz Guilherme Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrão Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Almeirim SS's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Matorin came free, but Mathias Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Filipe de Lima almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Almeirim SS's Mathias Valle did a great save. Eao's Rômulo Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedrão Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Guilherme Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rômulo Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mathias Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Yuri Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Almeirim SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eao the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Almeirim SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrão Matorin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Matorin in the 53rd minute of play forced Almeirim SS's goalkeeper Mathias Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Almeirim SS's Mathias Valle got control of the ball when Rômulo Moura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rômulo Moura struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Mathias Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eao. In the 61st minute, Eao's Pedrão Matorin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mathias Valle. Mathias Valle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Mathias Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrão Matorin's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Ismael Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino de Castro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Filipe de Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filipe de Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Eao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Almeirim SS:s goal. Rômulo Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Mathias Valle made a huge save. The supporters of Almeirim SS booed when Eao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luiz Guilherme Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Leão notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Eao's Adelino de Castro. Adelino de Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Pedrão Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Almeirim SS's Marcelinho Silva got a free kick in the 95th minute. Eao's Rômulo Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Eao players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
