José Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerson Damião in the 11th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Hermínio Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juruma SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermínio Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hermínio Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gatos EC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Régis Moura hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Juruma SS's Virgílio Viana tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Gatos EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Tróia to maneuver through the defense. José Diniz came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Gatos EC's Cauã Bastos. But to his dismay, Cauã Bastos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Rodriguinho Alagoano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wágner Porto. Gatos EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Juruma SS's José Diniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Juruma SS from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute Sandrinho Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telmo Toscano's late challenge caught a Gatos EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Telmo Toscano helped the player get up and apologised. Telmo Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Gerson Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

José Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauã Bastos in the 52nd minute of play. The attack was good, but when Gerson Damião in the 56th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Gerson Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandrinho Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Wágner Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, one of Gatos EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 79thth minute of the game Hermínio Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gatos EC's Wágner Porto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sandrinho Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gatos EC's Wágner Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandrinho Massa in the 89th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Gatos EC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Cearense. Virgílio Viana was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 92nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Sandrinho Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Wágner Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 97th play minutes Hermínio Perez shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Wágner Porto and just under the crossbar into goal. Gatos EC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
