Adrianinho de Sena had great luck who in the 2ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Silvério Botelho from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. A collision led to Baliza getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Kléber Neves hit a great ball. Luiz Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Adrianinho de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gildo Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute Gildo Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Luiz Lopes could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Adrianinho de Sena however easily saved by the left post. Luiz Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho de Sena having to interfere. Silvério Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho de Sena having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Eliézer Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jajuaryahiva and the Baliza players grew even worse after the yellow card. 26 minutes into the game, one of Jajuaryahiva:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dênis Teixeira went to the wrong direction when Egídio de Senna was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Silvério Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 38 minutes into the game, Jajuaryahiva's Luiz Lopes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adrianinho de Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gildo Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Teixeira having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruy do Nascimento during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes Jajuaryahiva got a freekick which was hit by Ruy do Nascimento. Dênis Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Santana in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvério Botelho to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Silvério Botelho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jajuaryahiva fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Túlio Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baliza's supporters rose to their feet, but Túlio Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dênis Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvério Botelho in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrianinho de Sena saved Baliza from getting behind. Dênis Teixeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Túlio Santana in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Baliza booed when Jajuaryahiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egídio de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Luiz Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Kléber Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Baliza's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Botelho came free, but Adrianinho de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Botelho in the 76th minute of play forced Baliza's goalkeeper Adrianinho de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Túlio Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvério Botelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrianinho de Sena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvério Botelho ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 85 minutes, Gino Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jajuaryahiva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Cerezo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jajuaryahiva fans cheered their team off the field, for while Baliza had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
