Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Haroldo Sampaio started the match with the kick off. Nictheroy's Álvaro Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Guerra in the 8th minute of play. Mário Guerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Álvaro Ramos having to make a save. In the 14th match minute, Macuxiri FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Guerra in the 17th minute of play forced Nictheroy's goalkeeper Álvaro Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Terra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haroldo Sampaio's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. David Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nictheroy's Haroldo Sampaio got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Macuxiri FC's goalkeeper Júlio Terra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Fiori Marquez fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nictheroy's protests and gave Fiori Marquez a yellow card for diving instead. Fiori Marquez hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 35thth minute of the game Mário Guerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nictheroy's Álvaro Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Macuxiri FC's Júlio Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Sampaio in the 38th minute of play. Macuxiri FC's Júlio Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Macuxiri FC from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd match minute, Macuxiri FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute Nictheroy were awarded a corner. Valdir Bueno went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Nictheroy's Valdir Bueno to fire away a dangerous shot which Júlio Terra despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Barbosa during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Nictheroy booed when Macuxiri FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronaldo Sergipano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Júlio Terra firmly grabbed it by the left post.

With a little luck, Nictheroy's Álvaro Ramos got control of the ball when David Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Júlio Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 69th minute Haroldo Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Haroldo Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Sergipano in the 75th minute of play forced Macuxiri FC's goalkeeper Júlio Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Álvaro Ramos made a huge save. If Ronaldo Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Sergipano in the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Sampaio in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Terra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Júlio Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haroldo Sampaio charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Sampaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ronaldo Sergipano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Terra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play.
