Arnaldo Santana might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aníbal Meirelles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo Santana ran back to his position shaking his head. Serafim Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sabino Tepedino was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Tambauzinho booed when Guainases FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Aníbal Meirelles managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Guainases FC's Arnaldo Santana fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 76th minute, Tambauzinho's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arnaldo Santana fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Aníbal Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabino Tepedino in the 79th minute of the match.
