Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Luiz Lara started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Agenor Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Téo Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Andrézinho Gaspar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Téo Quirino was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 19th minute Agenor Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Téo Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Márcio Breckenfeld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Sampaio EC's Márcio Breckenfeld got control of the ball when Marco Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Luiz Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sampaio EC's Márcio Breckenfeld was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sampaio EC's Márcio Breckenfeld proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Sampaio EC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Macedo during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes Sampaio EC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Macedo. Luiz Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Márcio Breckenfeld having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrézinho Gaspar to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Luiz Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Marco Vidal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Márcio Breckenfeld. Sampaio EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Vidal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Marco Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Breckenfeld having to interfere. Marco Vidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Márcio Breckenfeld read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yuri Bezerra during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Yuri Bezerra hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Vidal in the 64th minute of play forced Sampaio EC's goalkeeper Márcio Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sampaio EC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Nelsinho Berger hit a great ball. Marco Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Breckenfeld having to interfere. Naldo Trigo's late challenge caught a Sporting Defensor América's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Naldo Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, Naldo Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Defensor América's Marco Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Defensor América's zone, Andrézinho Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Téo Quirino came out of the goal and Andrézinho Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Téo Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrézinho Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Agenor Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agenor Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Téo Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nelsinho Berger fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sampaio EC's protests and gave Nelsinho Berger a yellow card for diving instead. After 98 played minutes Sampaio EC got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Berger.
