The audience was convinced that Rafinha Ortiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tostão Sarmento was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Régis Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guayanas SC's Tostão Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Ortiz in the 13th minute of play. Tostão Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafinha Ortiz in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Rafinha Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Guayanas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafinha Ortiz came free, but Tostão Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Aírton da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleandro Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Vitório Pontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aleandro Souza. Argerita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitório Pontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Guayanas SC's zone, Alfredinho Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tostão Sarmento came out of the goal and Alfredinho Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Rafinha Ortiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guayanas SC's Tostão Sarmento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Vitório Pontes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Argerita's Aleandro Souza. Aleandro Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafinha Ortiz made a kick off. After 56 played minutes Guayanas SC got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Meireles. Aírton da Fonseca received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aleandro Souza came out and tried to block the shot, but Aírton da Fonseca slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 58th minute. After 65 played minutes Guayanas SC got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Meireles. Régis Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Régis Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78thth minute of the game Rafinha Ortiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guayanas SC's Tostão Sarmento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Fernandinho Meireles took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Aleandro Souza to make any attempt to save it. 83 minutes into the match, Régis Vianna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tostão Sarmento. Guayanas SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Régis Vianna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Basílio Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleandro Souza having to interfere. Aírton da Fonseca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Aleandro Souza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 94 minutes into the match, Rafinha Ortiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tostão Sarmento. Guayanas SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafinha Ortiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Guayanas SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
