Válter Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Vides in the 31st minute of play forced California's goalkeeper Válter Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Válter Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Kauã Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gilmar Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Digo Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored California's protests and gave Digo Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. Digo Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Maceio's Laércio Rossi in action when he in the 69th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Gilmar Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kauã Queiroz in the 71st minute. Gilvan Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gilvan Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
