Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Michel Sanches's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dino Figueiredo was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Dino Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Severo in the 13th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Michel Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipaumirim's supporters rose to their feet, but Michel Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dino Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dedê Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Dino Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Severo in the 22nd minute of play. When Dráusio Romero came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Firmamento EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráusio Romero couldn't finish the play. Michel Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dino Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Severo in the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Firmamento EC's Eugênio de Medeiros got a free kick in the 39th minute. Michel Sanches's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Michel Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Figueiredo having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Firmamento EC got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio de Medeiros. 46 minutes into the match, Firmamento EC's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Sanches came free, but Dino Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Severo made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Firmamento EC's goalkeeper Dino Figueiredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michel Sanches. If Michel Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dino Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Dino Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dino Figueiredo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Humberto Severo might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dino Figueiredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Severo ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 95 minutes, Dráusio Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Firmamento EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráusio Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th match minute, Ipaumirim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elivélton Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. Ipaumirim's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
