Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Zacarias Toscano made the kick off which started today's match. Genílson Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Cruz in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zacarias Toscano in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo José Leite saved Araripina from getting behind. Egídio Vargass short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Genílson Mandrak to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zacarias Toscano scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo José Leite, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Egídio Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Tejessuoca SC defense, Egídio Vargas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genílson Mandrak. The Tejessuoca SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genílson Mandrak should have stopped the shot. Genílson Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th play minute Egídio Vargas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Genílson Mandrak. 2-1. Egídio Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauro Soeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Soeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tejessuoca SC's Mauro Soeiro got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Paulo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genílson Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The supporters of Araripina booed when Tejessuoca SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Cruz was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Tejessuoca SC's zone, Egídio Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genílson Mandrak came out of the goal and Egídio Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genílson Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Cruz in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Denílson Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Egídio Vargas struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Genílson Mandrak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araripina. In the 67th match minute, Tejessuoca SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Reis to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zacarias Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Paulo José Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Araripina's Egídio Vargas in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tejessuoca SC's goalie prevented a goal. Genílson Mandrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Cruz's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. If Egídio Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Mandrak having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tejessuoca SC's Mauro Soeiro got a free kick in the 88th minute. If Paulo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Tejessuoca SC's zone, Egídio Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betinho Reis hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Araripina players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
