But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nando Quirino couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, XXXXXXX's Oséias Netto got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 44th minute, Nando Quirino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Nando Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nando Quirino got free with Zé Paulo Romero in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, XXXXXXX's Zé Paulo Romero got control of the ball when Nando Quirino tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Nando Quirino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Paulo Romero. Baldomiro Maxin didn't quite understand what happened when in the 79 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Nando Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Zé Paulo Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
