The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Correia got free with Adalberto Tasso in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adalberto Tasso was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Valdir Moura capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valdir Moura really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz do Nascimento during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ouricangas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vivaldo Correia to make the kick off. Vivaldo Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Albertinho Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ouricangas's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertinho Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Juparana getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. César Salgado hit a great ball. In the 90th of the match, Albertinho Carvalho tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Charles Guimarães got in the way and made a wonderful save. Albertinho Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Guimarães having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdir Moura during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 94 played minutes Juparana got a freekick which was hit by Valdir Moura. Charles Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Carvalho in the 96th minute of the match. Juparana's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
