Boturuma's Beto Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 8 minutes into the game, Marcel Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barragem EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boturuma the free kick. A collision led to Barragem EC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Marcel Lima hit a great ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Osvaldinho Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boturuma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldinho Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Osvaldinho Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldinho Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Dias having to interfere. Josué Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josué Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Josué Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Mauro Dias successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Celso da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Marcel Lima struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Almir Trigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barragem EC. Josué Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Almir Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belchior Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcel Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boturuma's Almir Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belchior Pernambucano in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Beto Zanette made the kick off in the second half. Marcel Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Almir Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldinho Marinho struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Mauro Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boturuma. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor Dante during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nestor Dante hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Beto Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Boturuma defense, Marcel Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Almir Trigo. The Boturuma fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Almir Trigo should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Boturuma's goal looked a bit too open when Belchior Pernambucano came free, but Almir Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Belchior Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Barragem EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belchior Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. Almir Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belchior Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Almir Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Belchior Pernambucano's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. If Belchior Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 80 minutes, Marcel Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barragem EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, Belchior Pernambucano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Almir Trigo. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 96th minute Beto Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barragem EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
