When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Luís Paulo da Silveira put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Denílson Vander. 9 minutes into the match, Rui Melo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Estaca's Eduardo Faustino. Estaca's Orlando Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Orlando Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estaca's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Cesinha Viana fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estaca's protests and gave Cesinha Viana a yellow card for diving instead. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Rajada players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Estaca were winning 1-2.

If Orlando Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Arruda succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 85th playminute. Luís Paulo da Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denílson Vander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of Estaca booed when Rajada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Luís Paulo da Silveira took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Denílson Vander to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Rajada's Alfredão Trigo got a free kick in the 98th minute. In the 100th match minute, Rajada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredão Trigo to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Estaca could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rajada throughout the match.
