Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Doni Tasso started the match with the kick off. Christer Almqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo da Silveira in the 3rd minute of play. Luís Paulo da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristóvão Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Cristóvão Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeferson Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Eduardo Faustino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Jeferson Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Faustino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.C.Foz do Iguaçu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Naldo Pena was slow to take the kick. During this time Estaca's players had a chance to rest. Estaca's Naldo Pena was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christer Almqvist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Doni Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes Estaca got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Prado. 21 minutes into the match, Doni Tasso notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Estaca's Eduardo Faustino. Eduardo Faustino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Cesinha Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilmar Barbosa hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Doni Tasso struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Eduardo Faustino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C.Foz do Iguaçu. Doni Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Faustino having to interfere. Eduardo Faustino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Barbosa in the 39th minute of the match. Eduardo Faustino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doni Tasso in the 41st minute of play. Christer Almqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo da Silveira in the 42nd minute of play. Orlando Arruda struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Christer Almqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estaca. When Estaca's Orlando Arruda in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.C.Foz do Iguaçu's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, S.C.Foz do Iguaçu's Christer Almqvist got control of the ball when Luís Paulo da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Paulo da Silveira was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Estaca booed when S.C.Foz do Iguaçu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeferson Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Estaca's goalkeeper Eduardo Faustino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeferson Barbosa. Eduardo Faustino made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Jeferson Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. Eduardo Faustino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Eduardo Faustino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doni Tasso's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Estaca! Eduardo Faustino made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Jeferson Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. The Estaca supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching S.C.Foz do Iguaçu's performance. The match ended with a win for S.C.Foz do Iguaçu.
