Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edu Nogueira started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, Emerson Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wellington Alves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Nogueira in the 12th minute of play forced Carandai SC's goalkeeper Eliseu Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Limeiro SC defense, Emerson Lopez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wellington Alves. The Limeiro SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wellington Alves should have stopped the shot. Wellington Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Novaes in the 25th minute of the match. Wellington Alves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Novaes went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Novaes in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Edu Nogueira fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Limeiro SC's protests and gave Edu Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes Limeiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Edu Nogueira. João Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Wellington Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Limeiro SC's Wellington Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Lopez in the 44th minute of play.

The wind increased when João Novaes made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Limeiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Gustavo Rezende to maneuver through the defense. Emerson Lopezs short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Wellington Alves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 0-4 became the score in the 56th minute when Emerson Lopez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Afonso da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Carandai SC's João Novaes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wellington Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Limeiro SC's goalkeeper Wellington Alves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Edu Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Carandai SC's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Nogueira came free, but Eliseu Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Edu Nogueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliseu Castro. Carandai SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edu Nogueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Carandai SC's Eliseu Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Maciel in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Nogueira in the 84th minute of play forced Carandai SC's goalkeeper Eliseu Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th match minute, Carandai SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Quintal to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Carandai SC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Maciel came free, but Eliseu Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When João Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Carandai SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Novaes couldn't finish the play.
