Abelardo Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Limeiro SC's Carlos Eduardo Arósio tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Wellington Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Figueiredo in the 7th minute of play. Edu Nogueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luizão Sabóia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Maciel in the 12th minute of play forced Los Angeles Galaxy's goalkeeper Luizão Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Angeles Galaxy's Zé Roberto Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luizão Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edu Nogueira in the 24th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edu Nogueira in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luizão Sabóia saved Los Angeles Galaxy from getting behind. Wellington Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuno Tróia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Wellington Alves made a huge save. Limeiro SC's Wellington Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Limeiro SC from getting a goal against them. Henrique Barral hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Fabiano Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Luizão Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Edu Nogueira made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Nogueira in the 53rd minute of play forced Los Angeles Galaxy's goalkeeper Luizão Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fabiano Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Edu Nogueira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luizão Sabóia. The goal made the score 0-1. Zé Roberto Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Wellington Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fabiano Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Edu Nogueira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luizão Sabóia, 0-2. If Nuno Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Fabiano Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limeiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Maciel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizão Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes in the game, Edu Nogueira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Luizão Sabóia having to interfere. If Edu Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Los Angeles Galaxy's Luizão Sabóia got control of the ball when Fabiano Maciel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wellington Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Figueiredo in the 97th minute of play.
