In the last second Rodrigo Travassos throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rubinho Luz in the 6thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Jairo Tasso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jano Toledo having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Luz in the 11th minute of play forced NZB's goalkeeper Rodrigo Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faustão Penha got free with Rodrigo Travassos in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Mambuquinha booed when NZB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto França didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Penha in the 20th minute of play forced NZB's goalkeeper Rodrigo Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Mambuquinha's attack was well implemented in the 34th minute, but when Faustão Penha was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubinho Luz to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Rubinho Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Travassos was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. A collision led to Mambuquinha getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Faustão Penha hit a great ball. After 72 played minutes NZB got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Quadros. In the 73rd minute, Faustão Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 83 minutes, Jairo Tasso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NZB and the Mambuquinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, NZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Tasso to maneuver through the defense.
