The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the game, Faustão Penha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. André Luiz Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fellipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Campinhos's Tostão Almeida suffered a sore thigh after 9 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 9 minutes, Geovânio Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mambuquinha and the Campinhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Campinhos booed when Mambuquinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Fellipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campinhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Fellipe Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jano Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fellipe Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Faustão Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Luiz Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Mambuquinha's Faustão Penha made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Luiz Aguiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fellipe Barreto in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jano Toledo saved Mambuquinha from getting behind. With a little luck, Campinhos's André Luiz Aguiar got control of the ball when Faustão Penha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fellipe Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jano Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Campinhos's Fellipe Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fellipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Campinhos's goalkeeper André Luiz Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fellipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jano Toledo having to make a save. If Enéas Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fellipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rubinho Luz made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Rubinho Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mambuquinha and the Campinhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mambuquinha getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Rubinho Luz hit a great ball. André Luiz Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubinho Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Campinhos's Fellipe Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rubinho Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fellipe Barreto struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Jano Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campinhos. Fellipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Fellipe Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jano Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustão Penha in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Luiz Aguiar saved Campinhos from getting behind. 83 minutes into the game, Mambuquinha's Rubinho Luz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Luiz Aguiar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After a rather tough play, Mambuquinha's Víktor Mello got a free kick in the 89th minute. Jano Toledo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Fellipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute, Mambuquinha's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tomás Albuquerque fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mambuquinha's Jano Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Mambuquinha from getting a goal against them. The Mambuquinha support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
