Ernani Carvalho started the match with the kick off. Edgard Van Der Straeten made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Geovani Arruda sent off a good shot on target. Aloísio Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Van Der Straeten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Edgard Van Der Straeten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aloísio Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovani Arruda came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edgard Van Der Straeten could save by the left post. Ernani Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Perez having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 51st match minute, Itaporã was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Hermes to maneuver through the defense. When Tupaceretan's Geovani Arruda in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itaporã's goalie prevented a goal. Aloísio Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Edgard Van Der Straeten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Itaporã was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frédson Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Manoel Britto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Geovani Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Aloísio Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Itaporã's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Castro came free, but Edgard Van Der Straeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Arruda in the 86th minute of play forced Itaporã's goalkeeper Edgard Van Der Straeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Itaporã's Edgard Van Der Straeten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Castro in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Ernani Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaporã's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Itaporã's Edgard Van Der Straeten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Arruda in the 94th minute of play. The Tupaceretan players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
