Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Roberto Lago kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Nando Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cariaca's supporters rose to their feet, but Nando Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Guilherme Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute, Nando Vieira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Vieira in the 9th minute of play forced Emmas EC's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Emmas EC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Gualter Sá hit a great ball. Luiz Guilherme Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nando Vieira's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Cariaca's Luiz Fabiano Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Guilherme Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Luiz Guilherme Duarte was a little too slow when Nando Vieira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-0. Luiz Fabiano Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Duarte having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Nando Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emmas EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Vieira in the 63rd minute of the match. Luiz Fabiano Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emmas EC's Alfredo Varela couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cariaca. If Luiz Fabiano Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Emmas EC defense, Nando Vieira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Guilherme Duarte. The Emmas EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Guilherme Duarte should have stopped the shot. Nando Vieira took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Guilherme Duarte. Luiz Guilherme Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cariaca had won after a very even match.
