Charles Prata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chiquinho Fernandes went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Moisés Trancoso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frederico Recife. Aleixo AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 8th minute, Erivaldo de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Prata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chiquinho Fernandes in the 16th minute. If Chiquinho Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, Aleixo AD's Chiquinho Fernandes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charles Prata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Chiquinho Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charles Prata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Chiquinho Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Charles Prata made a huge save. In the 31st minute Pedrão Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aleixo AD's goalkeeper Frederico Recife, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 48 played minutes, Eureca's Haroldo Vinhas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frederico Recife came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eureca reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Arí Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arí Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes Aleixo AD got a freekick which was hit by Arí Coelho. In the 55th minute, Cássio Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Haroldo Vinhas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Aleixo AD's Frederico Recife didn't even have to move. When Chiquinho Fernandes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 58 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Charles Prata was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Sílvio Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Prata having to interfere. Erivaldo de Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erivaldo de Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Moisés Trancoso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frederico Recife. Aleixo AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Carlos Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Charles Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquinho Fernandes in the 89th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, one of Eureca:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Eureca. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Aleixo AD. Joaquim Aparecido stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Charles Prata. 5-0. When Sílvio Souto came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Aleixo AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Souto couldn't finish the play. Aleixo AD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Eureca for a fine match.
