After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alferes AD! The referee gave S.C Sobradinho a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Diego Negri, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alferes AD's Edmílson Schmidt. 1-2. César Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Brodel to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Brodel in the 97th minute of play forced Alferes AD's goalkeeper Edmílson Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Alferes AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
