Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fioropolis SS's Edvaldo Penha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Téo Pombal fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fioropolis SS's protests and gave Téo Pombal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Téo Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Pedro de Senna took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavo Neiva. Olavo Neiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Rubro Negro - DF's goalkeeper Laércio Siqueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Vítor Torres. If Zé Pedro de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If José Vítor Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Rubro Negro - DF getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Dráusio Lucas hit a great ball. If Edvaldo Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Rubro Negro - DF were awarded a corner. Allan Silva went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Rubro Negro - DF's corner Allan Silva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Olavo Neiva quite easily take care of the ball. José Vítor Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Laércio Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Vítor Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Rubro Negro - DF's Laércio Siqueira got control of the ball when José Vítor Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Vítor Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvaldo Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laércio Siqueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. If Ramón Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Pedro de Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. Ramón Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fioropolis SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Allan Silva was slow to take the kick. During this time Rubro Negro - DF's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Rubro Negro - DF's Nando Maranhense to fire away a dangerous shot which Olavo Neiva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Laércio Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramón Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olavo Neiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramón Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. When Fioropolis SS's Edvaldo Penha in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rubro Negro - DF's goalie prevented a goal. Rubro Negro - DF's Laércio Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Torres in the 76th minute of play. Nildo Sena hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Allan Silva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rubro Negro - DF's Laércio Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Penha in the 85th minute of play. Laércio Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Torres in the 87th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Rubro Negro - DF got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Eger. When Ramón Silva came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Rubro Negro - DF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón Silva couldn't finish the play. The Rubro Negro - DF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rubro Negro - DF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
